The Special Programs team provides resources, training, and support for all campuses that service students who are English Language Learners (ELL) and/or receive 504, Homebound, Dyslexia, or Special Education services. Additionally, we provide resources, training, and support for the Response to Intervention (RtI) process and for campuses that service students who receive a specialized remedial curriculum for additional academic support.
Special Programs at ɽÎ÷Ì«Ôʦ·¶Ñ§Ôº¸ßæºè¤Dr. Allysia is a veteran educator and has taught elementary and middle school ELA for over 25 years. She currently serves her community as the proud principal of ɽÎ÷Ì«Ôʦ·¶Ñ§Ôº¸ßæºè¤ Innovation Academy. Her passion and desire to see children succeed in the educational area has allowed her to be awarded many honors including, "Highest percentage of proficient students in the state of Louisiana.
Dr. Allysia Gibson is a mother of three amazing adult children ages 27, 24, and 21. She is a glamorous grandmother to the one and only Ezra (6 months old). Additionally, she is a bonus mom to two, ages 19 and 18, while being the proud wife to Dr. (Pastor) Derrick Gibson. She and her husband are Co-Pasters of the Saturate Ministries in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Allysia is an ordained minister and has accepted the call by God to teach his Word in 2014. With a call to leading women, she is the legacy leader of Women-2-Women PowerTalk, a ministry designed to empower women according to Titus 2. Her vision is to create a safe space for women to lean on, encourage and empower each other to be all that God has crafted them to be.
Additionally, she is the founder of W.O.R.S.H.I.P, a teen and adult liturgical dance ministry that seeks to usher in the presence of Jesus Christ through the use of flags, war sticks, and anointed choreography. She is also the founder of Achieve Academic Services that offers tutoring services and professional development to school children and teachers across the United States.
Dr. Gibson is a graduate of Southern University, earning her bachelor's in Mass communication, and has earned her Doctorate of Psychology and Religious Studies through HOPE Bible Institute. She is a licensed Christian Therapist that integrates Biblical principals and psychological practices.
