Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Rian began his career as a Health and Social Studies teacher at Kimball High School in the Dallas Independent School District. In 2001, he became an administrator in the Fort Worth Independent School District and has served as the Principal of Glencrest 6th Grade and William James Middle School.ÌýÌý
Prior to joining ɽÎ÷Ì«Ôʦ·¶Ñ§Ôº¸ßæºè¤ Public Schools, Rian served as an Executive Director of School Leadership for the Fort Worth Independent School District for the past 13 years. During his time as an Executive Director in Fort Worth ISD, Rian supervised principals and worked closely with them to develop and implement school improvement plans, addressing areas that needed enhancement and ensuring continuous academic progress of students. Rian also provided professional development to educational leaders and aspiring future leaders in the district. Rian was the Lead Executive Director from FWISD for the inaugural George W. Bush Institute, in which school districts across the nation are chosen to meet, discuss, and implement research-based educational strategies to ensure all students have access to a quality education.Ìý
Rian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce, a Master’s of Education from Texas Woman’s University, and he received his Superintendent Certification from the University of Texas at Arlington. He looks forward to making a lasting impact at ɽÎ÷Ì«Ôʦ·¶Ñ§Ôº¸ßæºè¤ Public Schools and contributing to the growth and development of both educators and students.Ìý
